Mel’s place was so perfect. It was close to Downtown Truckee and also 15min away from Northstar. Her place was so cozy and perfect for small families. Can’t wait to come back!

Mel went out of her way to accommodate our last minute reservation due to a big storm. She accepted our reservation and granted us early check in. So grateful for the stay!

Mel was responsive and flexible when we got stuck in Truckee with our 3 kids due to a snowstorm and needed a quick place to land for a couple nights. We had been staying in another AirBnB, which was serviced by a very large management company, and that management company used an outsourced call center and a chat bot to answer messages. Needless to say, in an emergency, they were not responsive or understanding of urgency, so we looked on AirBnB for a true local operator who could respond with understanding and flexibility. Mel was it!She allowed us to check in early, was responsive with helpful instructions about snow plow timing and location of snow shovel and other helpful items for dealing with the storm. There was plenty of firewood already inside, the house was clean and well-appointed, and we had everything we needed. Mel helped us land on our feet and we appreciated the local and personal hospitality! Book with Mel to support local (human) operators.

Great stay for two adults and our collective 4 kiddos. Fun in the hot tub and easy access to truckee and skiing!

Staying with Mel was great the house is super comfortable and clean, it also has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. She is very responsive, I will definitely stay at the Tahoe house again.

Some friends and I booked this place to celebrate one of my dog’s birthdays. He LOVES the snow, and this place has a fenced backyard where we could let him roam during the day and snuggle by the indoor fireplace at night. The hot tub was amazing, the location was actually fairly central (we were able to walk to a shopping center with a coffee shop and restaurant), and everything we needed for an enjoyable weekend was available. The host was very nice, accommodating, and responsive. We will keep this place in mind for future trips!

My family stayed here for 2 nights while skiing in the area. Downtown truckee is a short drive away and there is a coffee, and supermarket even closer. Very quiet neighborhood and comfortable beds. My kids said they slept very soundly. House was clean, plenty of towels, hot water, heat, TVs, water filter on the fridge, the stuff that makes the stay comfortable. Would stay again if skiing at Donner/northstar.

Great stay at a affordable price!

Mel's home is absolutely perfect. Cute mountain decor, cozy fireplace, cozy blankets. The beds were very comfortable and you can easily fit a great group of family/friends in this home with extra trundle beds as needed. The whole house is lovely- looks to be recently renovated. The hot tub is amazing and very convenient right outside the back for the chilly night use during winter. Great selection of kitchen tools and supplies as well. And a washer and dryer which is crucial for my family. It's perfect location within 15 minutes to Boreal and Northstar and just a few minutes from downtown Truckee. this house would be great in winter and summer. We are looking forward to spending more time and making memories here.

Very comfortable stay, Mel was very helpful and made everything supper easy. The house was equipped with everything we needed and house was supper close to everything. Overall very satisfied and can’t wait to be back!
