We had an amazing stay at Resting Bear Lodge! The home was spacious, beautifully updated, and perfect for our group of 11. We loved the cozy fireplace, game room, and large gathering spaces. It was the perfect spot for a midweek Tahoe getaway — peaceful, comfortable, and great for spending quality time together in the mountains. We would absolutely stay here again! – Matt J & Christina O

We had a wonderful stay at the Ridge Crest unit. The space was beautiful, clean, and impressively modern—exactly what we were hoping for. The Tahoe Getaways team made the experience even better with their excellent support. Their emails before our trip were clear, timely, and incredibly helpful in preparing us for our stay. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish.

Our experience as homeowners with Tahoe Getaways has been notable for several things: Swift responsiveness to tenant and property needs. Professionalism - they know the market like no one else. They helped us first timers set up our property promptly and helped us manage it extremely professionally, including providing names of trusted contractors and vendors. Their prices are a bit on the high side, but they provided a comprehensive, 24/7 service that was invaluable.

Generally a nice cozy house with lots of room. We loved the fireplace & the hot tub. Things that can be improved: add basic food stuff in the kitchen (there was no salt, pepper, oil etc). Family room window seal is broken & a very cold draft gets in. Some mattresses were very hard, some pillows were old, mats in the bathroom need replacement. Kitchen needs more towels & hot pad mats etc. Not enough chairs at the dining table & one chair was broken. The fence had holes so couldn’t leave the dog alone. WIFI speed was very very slow, basically non existent. Thank you, we had a great stay.

If you value privacy, I’d recommend reconsidering or paying more attention to some of these properties. I’d like to preface by saying that this cabin in the Alpine Meadows neighborhood is beautiful. Modern, updated. However, when we walked in, we were unaware that there were *no* drapes or coverings on the large windows in the dining room. Frankly, we felt a bit uneasy. It gets dark around 5pm now, and as the windows weren’t tinted, I wasn’t entirely comfortable that we were deep in the woods with no privacy from the outside. It was our first night, and my hunch said let’s reach out to the on-call manager. I had to leave a voice message, and they texted me. I said if it’s easier, I’d like to call. Instead she proceeded to text saying there was nothing she could do. (After I had voiced my concerns about feeling a bit not at ease.) We left to a different hotel that night. The next day- another associate and the manager follows up with us. We understand we booked a cabin in Tahoe. However, as a customer, my instinct when researching wasn’t to “check if there were drapes.” Shouldn’t that be kind of a given? Instead, when expressing our safety concerns we were told “it’s Tahoe. It’s rare to have drapes.” “Turn on a happy movie.” And along the lines of “something bad can happen anywhere.” We were pretty disappointed. I had already spent more than $1.4k for our three nights. They said they couldn’t put us up in another place nor even a partial refund. I am a believer of trusting your instincts. The property wasn’t advertised to its fullest. It’s in a dead end cul de sac area, with what appears to be abandoned homes across … and construction tools scattered near us from a home next door. It has an eerie feeling. Whether or not that particular neighborhood is safe, we felt our concerns as visitors weren’t really listened to. Gone is my $1.4k… and we ended up booking someplace else that is more affordable… to still celebrate a birthday we had planned months in advance. We only managed to stay in the cabin for approximately 3 hours, so never actually slept overnight etc. I understand everyone’s threshold for “safety” and “comfort” varies. However, our hunch was that it just wasn’t it. I was hoping management could have helped accommodate in any way, as we have voiced concerns for safety, but unfortunately they didn’t. They said they already paid off the homeowners so their “hands are tied.” Unfortunate. EDIT AFTER RESPONSE FROM MANAGEMENT: Thank you for your response. However, I also want to add a few more things for clarification. We were not watching a scary movie *on property* that led to the heightened sense of discomfort when we checked in. I have mentioned that my watching previous documentaries (long before I came on property) could impact how I felt in the moment being where we were. But the truth of how we felt is valid based on the physical attributes of the neighborhood. It felt eerie. It felt off. And that is our opinion, and that is how we felt. Additionally, in efforts to try to reassure us- Tahoe Getaways had referred to us being from the city and so it’s understandable why we may feel a bit wary in nature? I don’t see how it matters where we are from, if we feel a bit uncomfortable that is how we feel. I also want to add for future renters that even though the lights are all on in the living room, they are dim. It’s unfortunate this lodging wasn’t the right fit for us. Best of luck to your business.

Awesome stay! The location and layout were both practical and luxurious. Communication was excellent, and the whole experience felt seamless. I’d love to stay again — already looking forward to my next trip with them! Too bad the antler house which I stayed in changed to a monthly ? Rental. But highly recommend it !

This was our first time with Tahoe Getaways and it turned out to be a wonderful vacation. My husband and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary and Tahoe Getaways helped us celebrate with a sweet card and bottle of wine. Communication was fantastic and the home was clean and exactly as advertised. We look forward to working with them again in the future.

I've always had a pleasant experience with Tahoe Getaways. Their website was easy to navigate, with good amount of pictures and information about the properties that are listed. The communication through e-mail and text message response back was promptly. Checking was easy, so was the check out. Now as for the property that I stayed this time, it had everything I need. From basic cooking utensil and spices to card and table games that will keep your young busy. Jacuzzi was located just outside of the deck from the second floor with great view of the backyard. The lowest floor had pool table, Foosball, bathroom, sofa and TV. Great room for the kids. The backyard was best part because it still have plenty of snow at March.

Wow! That sums up our experience with Tahoe Getaways. They were super easy to work with. Very clear on communication for check in/out. They even sent a Tahoe planning guide out before our stay. The house was clean and well equipped. We had an issue with the heat on the first night and they were super responsive (even though it was 9pm). They got it fixed quickly. I would definitely recommend them and will book again if my travels bring me back to Lake Tahoe.
