Guests praise the location near Truckee/Tahoe, the modern and well-equipped cabins, and the friendly office/reservation staff. However, a recent review details severe issues with a resident manager, while others flagged specific cabin design challenges, maintenance problems with appliances, and seasonal difficulties.

FIRE SUE ALREADY! It’s sad to see from past reviews that this place has been receiving complaints about Sue and her brother for over 12 years and they are still here wreaking havoc on the people who stay here. I met 2 people who left because of Sue and her constant abuse and several others who have experienced the same. I have witnessed her trashing the residents in public, yelling at residents to move their RVs literally inches for the most absurd reasons that make zero sense after being told how to park when arriving. She is beyond rude. Aside from that her and her brother literally barricade people in their sites with walls of snow. They will come after you clear your drive and plow back and forth creating a wall of boulders undoing your work. And they obviously do it to the people they don't like and keep their ally’s driveways more clear. Sue will also make up rules to harass people but only apply them to some as there are clearly others not following the made up rules that are not documented in the rule book. I don’t know why she has been kept around so long. I thought maybe it was because she did a good job at managing the property but I am now doubting that as you can’t drive on the grounds when it snows, people are constantly getting stuck, the trash is completely snowed over so you can’t throw anything away, they don’t put any salt anywhere so people are slipping and falling left and right. You can’t access common areas because you would have to trek through waist deep snow. Even the wheelchair ramp is completely snowed over. The sites flood when it rains and in some sites your RV will be completely surrounded by a pool of water. She refuses to address issues brought to her about sites. I could go on and on about how poorly Sue manages the grounds. Outside of Sue and her Brother the rest of the staff is amazing. Alex is great, the other grounds workers are fantastic and hard workers. The facilities are clean, and the women in the office are all friendly and helpful. This place could be so enjoyable if you listened to all the complaints about Sue. Your business would be much better off.

We enjoyed our stay at this cute modern place. It was a small place but didn’t feel like it. The kids enjoyed the upstairs loft bedroom. We roasted s’mores over the fireplace outside. The place has all the modern amenities. We will be back next year.

Came to stay in the new adventure cabins for a holiday ski weekend. Our stay could not have been any better. Cabin had every amenity you could imagine - roomy fridge, induction range, dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee machine, automatic blinds. The bathroom even had heated floors. Location was a short 10 minute drive to Boreal Ski Resort, and an even shorter drive to downtown Truckee. Will definitely come back.

We love staying here whenever we get the chance. Family of 4 with a 3 and 5 year old it’s our best chance at a productive ski weekend. Plug in for the night and up to the sugarbowl ASAP. Just saw the propane refill station this trip and will be using it in the future for sure! Also want to do some summer camping to enjoy all you have to offer. Thanks!

Alex and his team are truly the best! Both my family and my sister’s family have fallen in love with this RV park—it feels like home rather than just a place to park. The incredible hospitality and genuine care from the front office staff make all the difference. Highly recommended! We’ll definitely be back again and again.

We just stayed in our van for 5 nights at Village Camp and it was an awesome set up. The hook ups and space was spacious and well set up. The team plowed our spot and made sure we were taken care of. We had our dog Otto with us and he had plenty of fun and space to walk on our leash and all other dog owners were super respectful as well. The showers were divine after a long day of back country skiing and Carla up front was so amazing and accommodating. The location is central so it's really easy to take off from there each morning and drive to tons of locations within 30 min to 1 hour and the main street of Truckee is a 5 min drive as well. We will for sure be back this winter! Reservations and booking was also easy.

Stayed the week here on a snowboarding trip. Amenities are top notch, WiFi is good, they have private bathrooms with a shower, laundry on the site, you also can’t beat the location. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about staying here. Definitely will be returning.

We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin felt like our own little home away from home. Our boys had the best time experiencing a snowy Christmas, and we really appreciated being able to cook meals and enjoy cozy family time together. Such a special and memorable stay, we would definitely come back!

We stayed in one of the cabins and had a great time! Everything in this cabin and the campground was extremely clean and well kept. Saturday we went to the clubhouse and ate a really good breakfast and played scrabble while we ate which was fun. The cabins are super cute not sure you can really get 4 adults to stay there comfortably but it was perfect for the 2 of us and they had everything there you need, shampoo, conditioner, coffee pods, pots, pans, dishes etc! I will definitely be back!! Oh and the staff were all super friendly and helpful

Very clean campground! On Saturdays they surprise guests with breakfast, and it was honestly such a great one. You don’t often find campgrounds that offer this kind of detail. Close to Lake Tahoe, with friendly and helpful staff. It’s not the most kid-friendly place in terms of activities, but if you bring bikes the kids will still have fun. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back.
