Our stay at Yvette's house was fantastic. The space was perfect for our group. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed when we cooked in. Very easy walk to downtown Truckee for shops and restaurants. The Truckee River in the back was so beautiful. We sat in the back a few times, listening to the flow of the river. We wouldn't change a thing.

Great location and walking distance from everything in downtown Truckee. River location is really nice and peaceful. Trains come back regularly but they didn't bother us at all.

We are repeat visitors; this is our absolute favorite place to stay in both summer and winter. The location can't be beat: just across the way from everything downtown has to offer, but with a beautiful private yard on the river. The house is extraordinarily clean--you can tell the difference the moment you walk in the door. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, all the rooms are such a pleasure to hang out in, particularly the living room and balcony overlooking the river, perfect for morning coffee or afternoon drinks. Kitchen is fully loaded, bedrooms are super comfy. Yvette is a highly proactive, responsive, and considerate host. We'll be back (again)!

We had a great stay in Truckee! The place was beautiful, comfortable, and very well equipped — it had everything we needed. Yvette was a fantastic host: friendly, responsive, and super helpful (including a great tip on where to ski). The downtown Truckee location is amazing, within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants, which made the trip even more fun. The only small downside is the train noise (as noted in the listing). It can be a bit loud at times, but it wasn’t a big issue for us.

We had a great time. Everything we needed was very easily accessible. The house was pristine, the Truckee river just adjacent the snow covered backyard was just beautiful. The neighborhood was quite. The train noise was minimal and for us it added to the atompsphere.

We had a lovely stay at the Red House and were even gifted with a beautiful, white Christmas. The house is cosy, and the kitchen is pretty well-equipped if you want to cook. The house is near the river hiking trail that is kept plowed, so no cabin fever! Being able to walk up to town and avoid the traffic and parking issues is another benefit. Looking out at the river flowing by is mesmerizing and relaxing.

Great place. Walkable to great restaurants and close to highly rated golf courses. Highly recommend.
